The Patriotic Costume Competition helps us choose who will reign as All-American Miss Tourism in her age category.
Only those competing for All-American Miss Tourism will compete in the Patriotic Costume competition. Each queen will choose something unknown about America, her choice. Then they create a Patriotic costume that should WOW the socks off of each of our judges. You want to hear gasps of excitement and anticipation as you enter the stage. When I say WOW us I mean WOW us. Dressing in Normal Clothes depicting a person is not WOW, devising a Patriotic costume that sheds light on the countries hidden secrets in a red white and blue themed wow garment, now those are Patriotic costumes. This one competition has cost many the crown. WOW us. This is the one that you go BIG for. How very creative can you get.
Each contestant will take her moment in the spotlight speaking 30 to 45 seconds about the unknown thing she chose. Her costume should look well thought out and not like it was thrown together the day of competition. With poise, personality, and confidence sprinkled in she will say her speech without using cards, electronic devices or anything else, she will have memorized it.
The queen will be led to the magic spot on stage where she will perform her speech and then walk the stage to show us her creation. Any props used must be able to be carried on stage by the contestant and off stage by the contestant. The contestant may hold the mic or it can be on a mic stand her choice.
No make up rules for costume.
