What is Changing at Miss Tourism Pageants

New Things Happening
New Things Coming to Tourism!!

Exciting Changes Coming for the 2026 Pageant Year!

We want to reassure you—there are no changes going into the 2025 World Pageant. However, as we look ahead to the 2026 Pageant (where we will crown our 2027 Queens), we are making some important updates to continue elevating the Miss Tourism experience.

At Miss Tourism, our goal is to provide a premier pageant experience, at the most affordable cost possible, ensuring that every contestant has the best opportunities to shine. These upcoming changes reflect our commitment to maintaining the integrity and prestige of our titles while enhancing the overall experience for contestants, families, and supporters.

Let’s get into what’s new!

State & Appointed Titles

  • Contestants may not apply for an appointed title if a state pageant is available in their state.

  • If you qualify based on residence (owning land, a parent or grandparent living in another state), you may apply for an appointed title or compete in a state pageant with proper documentation. This ensures more contestants have access to a live pageant experience.

  • This title should be your priority. You cannot fully represent Miss Tourism while actively promoting multiple pageant titles.

  • State Queens (and their parent/guardian, if applicable) will sign a contract at their state pageant.

  • Sashes will no longer include contestant names.

  • Crowns and sashes will be sent once a total of $295.99 has been received.

  • Each Queen will be required to share and participate in her reign and share social postings, community service and more.

Ambassador Program Updates

Exciting Updates on the Horizon for 2026! These updates will be out Sometime this April.

As we move into the 2025 World Pageant, everything will remain the same. However, exciting changes are coming for the 2026 Pageant year, bringing new opportunities and enhancements to elevate the Miss Tourism experience!

  • Ambassadors will now have a contract and set guidelines to ensure clarity and professionalism in their role.

  • We are introducing the Miss Tourism Ambassador Title Contract, which, while not including a non-compete clause, will have limitations on how the title is used alongside others. This ensures the integrity and prestige of the Miss Tourism Ambassador role while allowing for flexibility.

  • Expanding Opportunities: Our goal is to host one Ambassador Pageant per month, providing more chances for individuals to earn this prestigious title and make a meaningful impact. And we will modify crowns and will design original crowns for a more exclusive experience.

These changes reflect our commitment to creating more opportunities, structure, and recognition for those representing Miss Tourism. We are excited for what’s ahead and can’t wait to see the incredible impact our Ambassadors will continue to make!

Updated Fee Structure

For State Pageants:

  • Application Fee: $35 (helps prevent no-shows after registration).

  • Entry Fee: $250.99, with a $100 deposit due within 24 hours of application.

  • Payment plans available with a minimum of $50 every 30 days.

  • A credit card authorization form is required. If payments are missed, the agreed amount will be charged.

For Appointed Queens: Your total fee will be based on the package you select:

  1. Initial Sponsor Fee: Application Fee $35.00, Appointed title $295.99 + Competition Fee Package $645.99.

  2. Grand Supreme Package: These Optionals will be available and will be $295.99

  3. Other Optionals: All other optionals will be listed in your welcome package and in the Tourism Guidebook.

  4. If making payment arrangements: Payments will be due on the 5th of each month.

  5. Declined payments will incur a $36 fee on the next payment.

  6. Sponsorships are encouraged and may be tax-deductible under advertising for businesses.

Non-Compete Clause for Top Winners

Winning a Worlds Miss Tourism Princess, Pre-Teen, Jr. Teen, Teen, Miss, Ms., Mrs., Classic Ms. Winners and Worlds Miss Tourism Grand Supreme Princess, Teen Queen and Ultimate Grand, is a prestigious achievement. To maintain the prestige of these titles, the winners of our major divisions will have a non-compete clause, ensuring that this remains their primary title and commitment.

Our 2027 Jr. Teen, Teen, and Miss winners will receive incredible exposure, including:

  • Featured spots in two major pageant magazines

  • Individual placement on a Times Square billboard (time of year TBD)

  • The opportunity to walk in a Fashion Week show in either New York or Georgia

Age Group Adjustments

  • Miss Division: Now 19-26 (previously 19-27)

  • Ms. Division: Now 27-49 (aligned with industry standards)

Competition & Event Enhancements

  • All competition events will remain the same.

  • We are adding an Opening Number Gala Dress—rest assured, it will be reasonably priced.

Commitment to the World/National Competition

One of the biggest challenges we face each year is contestants backing out of the World/National competition—often due to winning another pageant and prioritizing that title over Miss Tourism. Moving forward, there will be a withdrawal fee for those who won a State title and won over another who may have come to finals. This is to ensure that our state titleholders honor their commitment to attend Finals.

Why These Changes?

The Miss Tourism Pageant is self-sustaining—we do not have large corporate sponsors or 501(c)(3) funding at this time. These updates are essential to covering our commitments to the hotel, vendors, prizes, judges, production, and logistics. Our contracts are binding, and once finalized, cancellations for us are not permitted.

We appreciate your dedication, passion, and support in making Miss Tourism the premier pageant experience it is today and for being part of this exceptional program as we move forward. These changes ensure we can continue to offer an incredible live pageant for years to come. Thank you for being part of this journey—we can’t wait to see you on stage!
