It’s easy to forget, in the hustle of everyday life, that the world is always listening. And by “the world,” I don’t just mean the pageant community—I mean people outside of it, too. As a Queen, you represent more than just the pageant world. You represent the public. You inspire, lead, and influence not only your peers but also the wider population while carrying the title of the pageant you chose.
Ask yourself: How are you inspiring, leading, or influencing others—both the general population and your peers—while representing your pageant? If you feel stuck, we will include some tips to help you get started.
Begin by thinking about your community and people in your age group. What are you doing to inspire them? How are you leading them? What are you doing to positively influence them?
One late night, I watched a movie called Divine Influence on The Great American Family Channel. I strongly recommend this film to all pageant queens. It tells the story of a girl who was a successful influencer, posting about clothes, makeup, and shopping hauls to her many followers. While that brought her popularity, she quickly realized that when she made a mistake, no one stood by her. She was no longer the “go-to” girl.
In the movie, she lost everything—her wealth, her vehicle, her apartment, and ultimately became homeless. Through that hardship, she learned what it truly meant to be an “influencer.”
I want to use this story to encourage you to think beyond the superficial. As a
Queen, you have the power to influence others in a deeper, more meaningful way. Let’s talk about how you can make that impact.
Find something that touches your heart, a passion that would benefit others, not just you. A few examples:
Support Literacy Programs– Volunteer at local schools or libraries, start a book drive, or host reading sessions to promote education and literacy in your community.
Advocate for a Charity– Get involved with a charity that resonates with your values. You can raise awareness, participate in fundraising events, or even host your own charity event to support their mission.
Raise Awareness for Health Causes– If someone in your family is affected by an illness or condition, become an advocate. For example, you could participate in walks, share educational resources, or support organizations that research and provide help for that condition.
Mentor Youth or Young Adults– Offer your time and experience to mentor young people in your community, helping them with personal development, goal setting, or career guidance.
Environmental Conservation Efforts– Get involved in local environmental projects such as tree planting, clean-up drives, or advocating for sustainability practices in your community.
Mental Health Advocacy– Work with organizations that promote mental health awareness, help reduce the stigma, and provide resources to those struggling with mental health issues.
Animal Rescue and Welfare– Volunteer at animal shelters, support animal rescue initiatives, or foster pets in need to make a positive impact on the lives of animals.
Each of these avenues allows you to make a lasting, heartfelt impact that
benefits not only yourself but also the wider community.
Lead by Example– Live the values you want to inspire in others, demonstrating integrity, kindness, and resilience through your actions. Be engaged with the public.
Be Authentic– Show vulnerability and share your true self, including your challenges and successes, to create genuine connections.
Support Causes with Meaning– Advocate for causes or initiatives that align with your values and passions, making a real difference in your community or globally.
Empower Others– Encourage and uplift those around you, offering mentorship, guidance, or simply a listening ear to help them grow and succeed.
Share Valuable Knowledge– Provide meaningful insights, advice, or skills that others can apply in their own lives to create positive change.
Promote Positive Mindsets and Behaviors– Use your platform to spread messages of self-love, mental health awareness, and personal growth, inspiring others to adopt healthier mindsets.
Build a Community– Foster a sense of belonging by creating spaces, both online and offline, where people can come together, share experiences, and support one another in meaningful ways.
The world is watching, and they are looking for a Queen to look up to—a Queen who truly understands her role. A Queen who stands for the people! I believe that if you dig deep, you have the power to set the world on fire by becoming that Queen or Princess.
Remember, when a little girl sees you in public, she believes you are the Queen of the entire world. Don’t disappoint her.
Always remember, the crown on your head is for others to see and admire—not because of the beauty beneath it, but because that beauty understands who she is and what she represents.
