Official Rules and Regulations of the Miss Tourism Pageant Organization​

By registering to participate and compete in the Miss Tourism Pageant, you acknowledge, accept, and agree that you have read and will abide by the following rules and regulations. You also agree to the statements and guidelines outlined in the Miss Tourism Contestant-Parent Agreement & Title Guidelines.

 

Divisions (Age as of July 1st of the national pageant):

  • PRINCESS: Ages 5-8

  • JR. PRETEEN: Ages 7-9

  • PRETEEN: Ages 10-12

  • JR. TEEN: Ages 13-15

  • TEEN: Ages 16-18

  • MISS: Ages 19-26

  • MS.: Ages 27-49 – Single, widowed, or divorced, with or without children

  • MRS.: Ages 21+ – Married, with or without children

  • CLASSIC MS.: Ages 50+ – Marital status and parental status are not factors in eligibility

Residency Requirements:

Contestants must live, work, or attend school in the state/region they wish to represent unless otherwise permitted by the Miss Tourism Pageant Organization’s Executive Director.

 

Eligibility Guidelines:​

  • The Ms. and Classic Ms. divisions may include single, widowed, or divorced contestants, with or without children. The Mrs. division is for married contestants, with or without children.

  • All other divisions (Princess, Jr. Preteen, Preteen, Jr. Teen, Teen, and Miss) must be single, never married, and have never given birth or become pregnant during their reign as a Miss Tourism titleholder.

  • Contestants must be in good health and of strong moral character.

  • Contestants must be a natural-born female.

  • Contestants must never have been convicted of a felony crime.

Commitment to the National/World Pageant:​

By accepting a state or regional title, contestants commit to attending and competing at the Miss Tourism World/National Pageant for the full duration of the event on the dates and at the location set by the Miss Tourism Pageant Organization.

Financial Responsibilities:​

  • Contestants understand the costs associated with pageantry and assume full responsibility for all payments and deadlines designated by the Miss Tourism Pageant Organization.

  • All fees are non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances, including withdrawal, failure to attend, disqualification, or other circumstances at the discretion of the Miss Tourism Pageant Executive Director.

  • A $60 NSF/ISF fee will be applied to all returned or bounced checks. This must be settled within five (5) days, or the contestant will become ineligible to hold a state title and compete at Nationals.

Code of Conduct:​

  • Contestants must not pose for any photography, video, or film involving full or partial nudity or pornography at any time before or during their reign. Contestants must not engage in employment or activities related to the adult entertainment industry.

  • Any unsportsmanlike behavior, drama, or bullying by a contestant, family member, or guest will result in disqualification and removal from the Miss Tourism Pageant Organization. No refunds will be issued.

  • Contestants and family members may not approach judges at any time before, during, or after a Miss Tourism Pageant.

  • Contestants and family members must not slander the Miss Tourism Pageant Organization, its directors, titleholders, judges, volunteers, partners, sponsors, or affiliates.

Media & Promotion​​:​

By participating, contestants and their parent(s)/guardian(s) (if under 18) grant permission for photos, videos, and audio recordings to be used for promotional and marketing purposes in all forms of media for the Miss Tourism Pageant Organization.

Honesty & Integrity:​

Contestants must provide truthful and accurate information on all entry forms and paperwork. Any falsified information may result in disqualification and loss of title, with no refund issued.

Miss Tourism Pageant Organization Rights:

  • The Miss Tourism Pageant Organization reserves the right to refuse anyone from competing or representing their state at its sole discretion.

  • Worlds Miss Tourism Age Group winners and Grand Supreme winners must sign a World Titleholder Contract, which includes a no-compete clause for the duration of their reign.

  • Holding another title while reigning as Worlds Miss Tourism or Grand Supreme without prior approval will result in immediate disqualification and the requirement to return all prizes, including the crown and sash, within 10 days in the condition they were received.

  • The Miss Tourism Pageant Organization is not responsible for any forfeited prizes from sponsors.

  • All prizes, awards, gifts, and scholarships are subject to change without notice.

Event Changes & Agreement:​

The Miss Tourism Pageant Organization reserves the right to change the dates, location, and competition details of any live pageant at its discretion.

Participation in the Miss Tourism Pageant Organization at any level signifies that you and your parent/guardian (if under 18) agree to these rules and regulations and the Contestant-Parent Agreement & Title Guidelines.

Rules and regulations are subject to change as needed without prior notice. The Miss Tourism Pageant Organization reserves the right to modify rules at its sole discretion.

The Official Miss Tourism Pageant Organization Rules include all Miss Tourism Pageant Organization Title Holders and  Ambassadors through the Miss Tourism Pageant Organization.
